Angry Love

I goddamned did it! I published an old love letter! I have alwayyyyys wanted to become a writer, but the thing that scares me the most is having to publish embarrassing stuff. I wonder a lot about authors and how their parents read the sex scenes they’ve written. Anyway, I thought I would start with this. As I mentioned previously, 18-year-old me had a LOT of feelings and felt them deeply. I still feel deeply. I am no longer in the same place with the feelings that are referenced in the letter, but I don’t like to deny where I was. This letter is also about power, self-esteem, and eventually growing as a person. I am most proud of the little note to the end, which is to “Güey” and the person he is now.

I wrote this when the electricity went out during an Arizona monsoon, making it too hot to sleep in my room. I couldn’t go to sleep until I wrote something. I hope it makes sense!

Personal Chisme

  • We did it! We u-hauled! Granted, it took 3 years, but we did it!
  • Bed Bath and Beyond gives me bad vibes. How are you supposed to find anything in there?
  • I’ve decided to become rich and move to a country with universal healthcare, since no f*cking healthcare company makes it easy to exist as a body here. In understatements of the day, shoutout to my partner for helping me through it. 

I appreciate y’all dealing with this newsletter as I try to figure out a niche. I hope my random corners of the Internet are entertaining enough to make it worthwhile.
