Listen, I know it’s a niche title, but we couldn’t all pay for Tidal and therefore we had to wait three years after our free trial(s) of Tidal were up to fully enjoy Lemonade again.
Hello all,
Today’s newsletter is sponsored by a cutie telling me she daydreams about receiving this, and realizing that the concept of time eludes me yet again.

Poetry of the Week
Whenever I read poetry, I get the urge to write poetry, so I’ve started writing in my poetry books. Please do not punish me for my sacrilege. The following are two that I’ve written in the pages of two poetry books.

Death Has A Tough Coat But It’s Softer On The Inside
I’ve written about death a bit lately, since it’s a concept I’m trying to confront to, ironically, try and live a better life. It’s also why I’m reading Death: The Art of Living by Todd May, which approaches death philosophically and was one of the inspirations for The Good Place.

Rabbitholes
Things I’ve learned, laughed about, and/or obsessed over
- Bingo! I crave the flame.

- I SIT. IN MY DESOLATE ROOM. NO LIGHTS. NO MUSIC. JUST ANGER.
- A Vegetarian Goes to H Mart by Ally Ang. I first read the poem and fell in love with it, and THEN I saw the author’s name and my head exploded into “My friend!!!” Please check out their website as well, everything is mesmerizing. When you Google them, the search bar immediately says “author.”
- The Cult of Academia episode from Sounds Like A Cult podcast recommended by my sweet bean (and, wildly enough, Ph.D. Candidate) Vanessa
- LORE OLYMPUS IS BACK

Personal Chisme
chisme = gossip
- Working on a new cross-stitch, which I think I will eventually title “History Will Call Them Gal Pals” because iykyk
- Got to visit my sweet nephew and make a fool of myself for him at his music class!
- I’m training in hot prep at work and I now have 3 burns on my hands, one of which I do not remember getting.

As always, I am grateful to you for reading! If you want to catch up or go back to some classics, please also check out my blog at Colochos de Flores. Let’s all hope it’s not more than a month until the next one!
Abrazos and/or high-fives,
Ariana
