Hello all,
Today’s newsletter is sponsored by seeing friends in person for the first time since you met before the pandemic! I hope you’ve had a nice week 🙂

Prose and Poetry of the Week

I present this in honor of Lala’s Lucky 13th Birthday today! She is the dog my family has had since I was 13-years-old. She also responds to Wawa and LALAAAAAA and shares her Instagram with El Vaquero. The challenge I wrote this for was supposed to be about a pet you rescued. My family rescued our second dog, El Vaquero (The Cowboy), this past year, and Lala was not too excited by it. However, she has begrudgingly taken him on as a sibling. I wrote this from her perspective, and maybe you can figure out who the other characters are.
I wrote this over 4 years ago, and I think I made a new one last year. It’s a list I should make more often than every 4-5 years, but it’s also nice to be reminded of what has changed in that time. Hopefully you’ll find some things that make you smile here too.

Rabbitholes
Things I’ve learned, laughed about, and/or obsessed over
- My role as the “Protagonist” as an ENFJ, or as I like to call it, “Being an Icon” (is my Leo moon showing?)
- “My blood is on cocaine” – this story about a woman throwing out a coworker’s lunch, weirdly thrilling. We’re all just sharing posts across various forms of social media.

Personal Chisme
chisme = gossip
- Isn’t it great when you make a note for yourself to attach a link and then you just don’t? Anyway, here’s Chingaderas, a collection of all my writing on The Internet.
- I looked back at the journals I kept during my last job and it was… difficult to read. Shoutout to all y’all that stuck by me while in the thick of it.
I hope you enjoyed, and that you send me a couple of things you think should be on any Happy List! You can peruse past newsletters at Colochos de Flores.
Abrazos and/or high fives,
Ariana
